My Story
My name is Dr. Paul Antonio Pereira, and I am an entrepreneur and a pioneer in many areas of the technology, biotechnology, and artificial-intelligence world. My story shares real events — challenges, tribulations, and successes — while navigating a business world of greed and power plays, among people who have no leadership or visionary ideas but rather plot to grab whatever they can for their own self-gain.
This world is cruel and full of jealous and greedy people. Money changes people, and you can get caught in the cross fire of greedy people's objectives. You have a brilliant mind and it is your most valuable asset. Develop it, as nobody will ever be able to take that from you.— My father, Miguel Pereira (10 March 1939 – 16 January 2022)
Thank you, Dad. You were right. This is my story.
School was always a fun and easy event for me. My biggest challenge was to keep focused, because many times the teacher moved so slowly. I was always in some mischief — and always got away with it, because of my grades. My education was blessed with exposure to schools all over the world, as my father was a senior engineer for a large offshore-drilling corporation, and we travelled the world.
When I left school, I began my job search. My first offer was an engineering position, and I was told that with good, hard work I could possibly make as much as $45,000 per year. This was definitely not the job for me. I was full of gusto and energy, and I was ready to light the world on fire.
